Havwoods The Wood Book - India

Named after Mr Hilton himself, The Conrad Hotel provides the perfect location for a weekend break in Dublin and an €8m renovation project has ensured that the hotel itself is as impressive as its environment. Designed by London based interior architects, Fabled, the brief was to reflect Ireland’s rich heritage, but with a contemporary tone. Indeed, the hotel is like a storyboard celebrating Dublin. For example, the lobby features an abundance of flora and natural indigenous materials inspired by Ninian Niven, the architect of the nearby Iveagh Gardens, whilst the magic of Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels is woven into every corner and is brought gloriously to life in the ground floor lounge and bar.
