Drive down some of Rochester’s main thoroughfares and you’d be hard pressed not to find a Kwik Trip, one of the Midwest region’s favorite convenience stores. With 15 locations in the Rochester area, Kwik Trip, which was founded in 1965 in Eau Claire, WI, has made a name for itself in Midwest communities both large and small.

As Ben Leibl, public relations specialist at Kwik Trip explains, the company’s early years were spent trying to figure out where to best have locations for their stores and growing the company. “At this time in America, cars and interstate travel were taking off and people needed gas and snacks as they were traveling,” Leibl says.
