Eta Gamma-Akron Award- Winning Akron Excellence
In February, the University of Akron hosted its annual Greek Leadership Awards Ceremony, celebrating accomplishments of chapters and individuals within the campus Greek community. Senior and biomedical science major Giavonna “Gia” Dilts (Eta Gamma-Akron) left the ceremony highly decorated, earning two of the evening’s prestigious honors: Greek Woman of the Year Award and Innovation in Leadership Award. The exciting evening marked not only a personal achievement for Gia, but a proud moment for all of her Eta Gamma sisters. Reflecting on the recognition, Gia shares, “I’m so incredibly thankful for the people in this community who inspire me every day and for Akron’s Fraternity and Sorority Life for giving me a platform to grow and lead. Alpha Phi and the University of Akron Panhellenic Council have supported me and shaped me into the woman and leader I am today. I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this incredible community.”
