The Chamber launched its new website in late October 2024, featuring information and resources to empower local businesses, attract talent, and strengthen business advocacy throughout the Rochester community. The website now showcases the Rochester area through information, statistics, career opportunity resources, and an overview

of key industries to show that in Rochester we mean business. The “Ask a Local” section now provides newcomers with authentic insights from residents about life in Rochester, covering topics like housing, community involvement, and more. “We were excited to unveil our new website this year, which reflects our dedication to supporting the success of our members, local employers, and the Rochester region as a whole,” Ryan Parsons,

President of the Chamber says. “The platform was designed to serve as a valuable resource for both new and established businesses, organizations, and talent. It also advanced our business advocacy efforts by addressing key issues facing employers and highlighting Rochester as a thriving hub for businesses and talent alike.” In November, voters passed the Rochester Public Schools 2024 Ignite Student Learning Referendum , increasing per-pupil funding from $943 to $1,113 annually, generating $19.4 million each year over the next decade. “The approval of the Ignite Student Learning Referendum will equip Rochester Public Schools with the resources needed to meet educational needs of a growing Rochester and support career-readiness initiatives that can encourage student success," Parsons noted. Through this funding, Rochester Public Schools are equipped to support workforce programs like the Career and Technical Education Center at Heintz (CTECH) and the P-TECH programs, which prepare students for careers in fields such as nursing, IT, agriculture, and engineering. It also helps keep Rochester competitive by aligning per- pupil funding more closely with peer districts, ensuring that the district can meet the needs of a growing community while continuing to offer quality education.
