Member Engagement

Last summer, the Chamber celebrated its third annual Lemonade Day , a free and engaging program designed to spark entrepreneurial spirit in young minds. Expanding into the greater Rochester area, including Byron and Stewartville, the event attracted nearly 400 budding entrepreneurs eager to develop their own businesses. From crafting a product and designing their stands to establishing budgets and strategic marketing plans, participants gained hands-on experience in building and running a business. To guide their journey, participants used workbooks that delivered essential lessons in financial literacy and business planning. New in 2024, the Lemonade Day app was introduced as a user-friendly tool embraced by parents and mentors alike for its accessibility and Spanish-language support. Jesse, a father of two boys who participated in Lemonade Day for the second year, says, “The provided curriculum through the free app is very interactive and engaging, great for sparking age-appropriate discussions about business fundamentals and requires almost no preparation for parents.” Local businesses, too, recognized the program's impact, applauding its emphasis on financial literacy and its potential to nurture the next generation of innovative leaders. As Lemonade Day continues to grow, its mission to empower young entrepreneurs shines brightly, one glass of lemonade at a time.

We were thrilled that 2024 marked

the first year in awhile that every issue of the Advantage magazine was printed and distributed.

A heartfelt thank you to our members, advertisers, and contributors for making this achievement possible. We are excited to continue this momentum into 2025!
