talent attraction and retention, and the inaugural year saw 14 teams compete in match games – from bucket ball and corn hole to sand volleyball and tug of war. "It was incredible to see sponsors host challenges that reflected their businesses," says Shannon Gowen, Events & Programs Director at the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. "Kreofsky Building Supplies, for example, created a building block speed challenge where participants raced against the clock to construct creative structures. New to the event this year was the addition of the technology keynote and the technology panel discussion. Keynote speaker Kendra Ramick, Customer Engineer at Google, along with technology panelists Brian Kronstedt from Boston Scientific and Robert Morreale from Mayo Clinic, provided valuable insights on how AI is reshaping both business and higher education. The Shop Local – Holiday Gift Guide , now in its third consecutive year, continued to highlight Chamber members’ holiday gift offerings. The 2024 guide featured 36 participants, showcasing a diverse array of options, including food and beverages, retail goods, non-profit donations, and services. The guide was promoted through the Chamber’s various channels, including email campaigns, social media, Advantage magazine, a billboard advertisement, and a press release.
