Types of evacuation procedures On hearing the fire alarm, people will start to evacuate the building. They should all be familiar with the escape routes and any alternative routes in case the main escape route is impassable. There are several types of evacuation procedures: Simultaneous Evacuation When the alarm is activated, everyone will leave the building at the same time and make their way to a place of safety away from the premises.
