About Sunrise Tours Sunrise Tours was founded by Des Peres, MO, residents Jim and Charlene Dalrymple in 1994. With a freshman (Brent) at Washington University and two daughters at Kirkwood High School (Kristen and Debra), Jim and Charlene cashed in a portion of their retirement to start Sunrise Tours. While focusing on consistent customer service and creative tour itineraries, Sunrise Tours has grown steadily for almost 30 years. We take pride in surprising our guests with high- quality hotels, meals and experiences that are included on a Sunrise Tours vacation. We are fortunate to count thousands of retirees and their friends and families as loyal, repeat travelers. From the back of the bus... We have never had more NEW tour product in the pipeline than now! As you can see in this catalog, our professional tour planning team has been scouring the world to research and bring you the best vacation experiences for your travel dollar. I recently spent some time on American Queen’s Countess to inspect the luxurious riverboat and reserve space on a fall cruise on the Mississippi; a first for Sunrise Tours that I’m very excited about! (pp. 75). Caleb visited the Evergreen State to create “National Parks of Washington” (p. 58), Katie visited Maine for “Coastal Charms of Maine” (p. 68), Bridget explored NE Florida and the Georgia coast for “Golden Isles and St. Augustine” (p. 24), and Nathan traveled to Arkansas to plan “Arkansas Eclipse”. (p.22) And that’s just a sampling of our new domestic tours! In August, I accompanied our private river cruise charter on the Danube and extended my trip to Germany to explore the possibility of a Sunrise private charter on the Elbe River in fall, 2025. Caleb visited Portugal to identify a fantastic ship for a private charter in spring, 2025. Look for details on the Douro cruise this winter and the Elbe cruise next spring. Of course we have many all time favorites planned as well. I hope you enjoy reading about (and booking!) the fantastic Sunrise Tour opportunities we have designed as much as we have enjoyed planning. Thank you for traveling with Sunrise Tours!
Sincerely,

MEET TOUR DIRECTOR Lisa Kientzel “Having taught Spanish for 25 years at the high school and middle school levels as well as traveled to Costa Rica and Spain with my students, I am so excited to lead a group of Sunrise Tours guests to Panama so I can share my love of Latin America, the Spanish language, and history. during our first stop at the scenic local market. We’ll also visit El Macho waterfall with a water drop of 230 feet, the largest in the region; and see the pre-Columbian petroglyphs. Panama City is well known for its architecture! Keep an eye out for the famous F&F Tower, a 52 story spiral skyscraper locally nicknamed “The Corkscrew”.
March is a great time to cruise the Canal as one of the driest months. This allows us to see this tropical paradise in its most stunning form and avoid the rainy season.
