SCHOENFELD INTERNATIONAL STRING COMPETITION Harbin, China
WFIMC Member since 2017
Schoenfeld International String Competition was founded in 2013 in honour of violinist Alice Schoenfeld and cellist Eleonore Schoenfeld, both legendary performers and pedagogues. With the support of the Harbin Municipal Government, we continue to build a multifaceted platform for gifted violinists, cellists, and chamber music performers. In collaboration with the WFlMC, the Competition introduces a special initiative, the Dean & Schoenfeld Art Leaders’ Summit. The Schoenfeld Summit brings together CEOs and directors of all the top competitions to exchange and debate their views on the artistic strategy, legacy, and identities of competitions in different parts of the world, as well as the role that competitions are now playing for the cultural policy and talent development today.
