Celebrating four decades of discovery, the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis is dedicated to searching the world for the finest young talent and launching the concert careers of its quadrennial Laureates. Founded in 1982 under the artistic leadership of Josef Gingold and now led by Jaime Laredo, The Indianapolis is regarded as one of the world’s most important competitions for launching successful careers and noted for its extensive post-competition career management. Laureates of The Indianapolis have emerged as outstanding solo and chamber music artists in concert halls around the globe, and as Concertmasters of some of the world’s leading ensembles.
