Held in Valencia (Spain) and named after Valencian piano virtuoso José Iturbi, this biennial competition is open to young pianists of all nationalities born on or after 4 June 1990. The Jury is presided over by its Artistic Director, eminent Spanish pianist Joaquín Achúcarro. With four challenging rounds, including two solo recitals and two finals accompanied by the Orchestra of Valencia, the 23rd edition promises a thrilling competition in one of Spain’s most vibrant cities. First Prize is EUR 30,000 and a CD recording, while further prizes include EUR 20,000 for Second and EUR 10,000 for Third Prize, with concert engagements for all three.
