The International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna is Austria’s oldest international piano competition. With its long tradition and unique focus on Beethoven’s piano works, it is considered one of the most renowned and leading piano competitions in the world. Founded more than 60 years ago, it is hosted by the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The artistic director is Jan Jiracek von Arnim. First Prize 2025: EUR 30.000, plus a Bösendorfer Grand Piano Model 214 VC, donated by L. Bösendorfer GmbH. The Grand Finale with orchestra takes place in the famous Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein on May 24, 2025.
