Victoria Racing Club continues to upgrade raceday facilities for horses as part of its ongoing commitment to optimise equine welfare. The VRC’s vision is to be “treasured by all as a world leader in racing and event entertainment, guaranteeing an unrivalled experience”, which extends to our equine athletes. As part of this, the Club continues to upgrade facilities for horses to train, perform and recover. A key asset for the Club in delivering on its vision is the high quality of its partners and suppliers, and the VRC is proud to count Rubaroc amongst them. Rubaroc is renowned as Australia’s leading installer of wet pour rubber, and its product can be found extensively throughout the raceday facilities for horses at Flemington. The recent extension of the Mounting Yard saw the walking surface in this area completely replaced with Rubaroc, while a recent upgrade saw this extended throughout the pre-parade and veterinary block precincts , as well as from the Mounting Yard down the rose avenue and onto the track. Rubaroc combines more than 26 years’ experience in the field of wet pour rubber surface solutions, combining high-tech polymer resin and rubber granule to create a resilient, anti-slip surface that is versatile and virtually indestructible. Professionally installed over the existing surface, Rubaroc expands and contracts to accommodate temperature changes and ground movement. In addition to Flemington, Rubaroc has been installed in equine establishments including horse studs, specialist veterinary clinics, stalls, wash bays, and crush barns. For all equine surface enquiries, call the Rubaroc team on (03) 9874 7133.
