then taught them a brief prayer, and from that time mother and son have been worshipping the one true God daily in their little home. Just one more very beautiful Incident must be recorded if the Editor will kindly allow me this much more space. Chaling also has mountains, and up in one of the mountain homes the workers met a Mr. Tuan, sixty years of age. When he had heard the message they had come up the mountain side to give him, his whole heart was stirred, and he went out and called together all the people in his home, men and women, young and old, in all thirty persons, gath ered in the main guest hall at the call of the enthusiastic old gentleman. Again the evangelists repeated the precious story, and when they had finished speaking Mr. Tuan arose and said: “ What these gentlemen have told us is undoubtedly true. We ought to worship the true God, for He is the Father of our souls, and hitherto we have not recognized Him. He has also sent Jesus to save us. If we believe in Jesus then we can go to the place where He is. You should all remem ber these words and worship the true God." Dear friends who read this report, may I beg you to stop and think and pray for a little while right now? Do you think of the millions in China with yearning, unsatisfied hearts, conscious of sin and its sure results, and yet who even up to the present have not heard of Jesus Christ and the great salvation which He has provided, the news of which He has commanded us to bear to all men. Are we to the full extent of our ability obeying this command? We desire to enlist every reader as a genuine prayer partner in this work. Please pray for the 169 men in our thirteen bands, and the five women in our one women’s band; and do not fail to breathe a prayer for us here at the center. May our God and Father richly bless you all. Most truly yours in Him, FRANK A. KELLER. Changsha, Hunan, China. „4

ness daily that each visit may be made in the fullness of the blessing of Christ, and that each message may be given in the power of the Holy Spirit. The work is by no means always so pleasant, and often there muBt be patient waiting for the seed to spring up and bear fruit. On one occasion the workers called on a leading man of the student class. His name is Mr. Wu Tzu Feng. Courteously and faithfully they told him of God our Creator and Father, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. Mr. Wu became very angry, and contemptuously said to them: "What kind of talk is this about a God who created the. world? It is all false. And as to Jesus, He is simply a foreign man. How can He forgive and cleanse from.sin?" After further explanations a copy of "Selected Portions of Holy Scripture" was given to him. The book attracted him; he began to read it. Suddenly the Holy Spirit used the inspired words to convict him of sin, and this proud Confucian scholar said: “ The words'I have just spoken were most discourteous to you two gentlemen. They were uttered because of my Ignorance of the teachings of the Gospel. Hereafter I shall make it my business to diligently study the books of your religion." Shall we not pray that God may lead this honest scholar out into the full light and truth that are in the Lord JeBus? In one home the workers met a young man of 26 years, and his mother, a woman of 70. Both listened eagerly to the words, which were both new and comforting to them. After a time the mother said: *■“ Years ago I realized that I was a sinner, and that I ought to do something to expiate my sins, so I began faBting and worshipping Buddha. This I have continued for many years.—Today you two gentlemen have proven to me that all this was vain. You have shown me the difference between the true and the false, and you have helped me to see that by believing in Jesus I can obtain forgiveness of sin and eternal life. With all my heart I put my trust in Jesus as my Saviour, and this deci sion has just filled my heart with joy." The evangelists
