disunion, the "big bead” of pride, the evil of leaven, the cancer of self-importance, and other things (1 Cor. 3:1-4). With the spiritual man, the spirit Is on top of the soul, but with the carnal the soul is on the top of the spirit. In the unsaved the body is on the top of the soul, and the soul on the top of the spirit. XU. Man Disembodied (the Believer) Absent from the body the spirit is at home with the Lord, with Christ and in "The Far Better" (Phil. 1:23). The soul is departed, "poured out,” as Christ was in His death (Isa. 58:12). In death the believer’s body is in the grave, as Job indicates when he declares “ worms” may "destroy it” (Job 19:26). XIII. Man Disembodied (the Unbeliever) The spirits of the unsaved, like the rich man, are in Hades (Luke 16:23 R. V .), awaiting the time when Hades will give up those who are in it, to be judged by Him who will sit on the Great White Throne (Rev. 20:11-15). XIV. Man Glorified (the Believer) The believer in Christ will not only have a resurrected body, but a glorified body. Christ distinctly taught there would be a resurrection of the unjust (John 5 :29 ). The great chapter on the resurrection of all men is 1 Corin thians 15. In Adam all die, and in Christ "all” "made alive.” The chapter does not deal with salvati.n, but resurrection. Immortality or incorruptibility deals with the believer and must be distinguished from man’s indestructi bility. "Immortality” is a state of holiness and bliss in a glorified body from which it will be impossible to fall (1 Cor. 15:44, 63, 64; Phil. 3:20, 21; 1 John 3 :3 ). XV. Man Lost Whatever the nature of the eternal condition of the lost, they will be judged by Christ and cast into the Lake of Fire. The wrath of God “ abideth” upon the unbeliever; therefore he must be existent, and also the wrath is in the eternal present upon him (John 3:36; 5:29; 2. Thess. 1:9; Rev. 20:12-16). This section would not be complete if we did not re fe r to the spirit, soul and body as dominated and sanctified by the Holy Spirit, which we shall hope to do in the next article. (To be continued) True education keeps us anticipative and retrospective. It enlarges vision, makes new duties recognisable and keeps God in close personal contact. It adds suppleness, elastic ity, and vigor to both mind and soul. "It is a prophylactic against hardening of the intellectual and spiritual arteries.” We wish to emphasise our conviction that the public school is not the proper place to impart religious instruction. We wish to insist also that the public school is not a place for the subtle impartation of thelstlc doubt— the em bryo o f agnosticism, skepticism and unbelief. Evolution as it pertains to the origin of man, viewed from the realm of the Christian Fundamentalist, is nothing more or less than lrreliglon made enticing. It is atheism presented in euphemistic terms and clothed in the attrac tive robes of Intellectual respectability. The concept that man descended from a brute, together with all the attendant teachings thereunto appertaining, should be banished from the curricula of tax-supported schools. “ See THOU to It!” EVOLUTION IS ATHEISM (Continued from page 518)
