Community Generosity Fuels $7.5 Million Campaign for Emergency and Radiology Expansion at Cooper Cape Regional
Thanks to the incredible generosity of thousands of donors, Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional has successfully raised $7.5 million to support the expansion of the Emergency and Radiology Departments. This capital campaign offset a significant portion of the $19.9 million investment required for the project. A special thank you goes to the Larry L. Luing Family Foundation , who kickstarted the campaign with a $3 million gift to secure the naming rights for the Emergency Department in memory of their father, Larry L. Luing, a beloved longtime summer resident. Their generosity inspired a wave of community support and generous gifts. As patient volume continues to rise and technology evolves, these expansions allow us to better meet the needs of our community. The Emergency Department features nine additional patient bays and dedicated radiology
equipment, ensuring faster, more efficient care when every minute counts. Additionally, the Radiology Department has also undergone a remarkable transformation, expanding into a state-of-the-art, 15,000 square-foot space. The newly relocated department includes an advanced Interventional Radiology Suite, a 128-slice CT scan, an updated xray and Ultrasound Suite, a Fluoroscopy Suite, and a wide range of other radiology modalities. These enhancements enable us to deliver the highest- quality imaging and diagnostic services available in the county.
