In Revelation 19:19, we have this battle described in these words: “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered to gether to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.” The battle will be over in a moment, for the Lord will slay His enemies by the' “ sharp sword” that shall proceed out of His mouth. (Rev. 19:15.) Complete Redemption What is the meaning of Romans 8:10: “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteous ness?” It means that our redemption at present is only partial. M y spirit has been quickened, but not my body. The body is yet to be quickened when Christ comes to translate the church. At that time He will “ change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according unto the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto him self” (Phil. 3:21). When that takes place our redemption will be com plete— body as well as soul. Author of Hebrews Who was the author of the Epistle to the Hebrews? No author is named, so the question is fairly open to investigation. From the earliest time it has been various ly ascribed to be of Pauline author ship: several have named Apollos. It is a mistake to call it an epistle, as it is not a letter. All admit the strong Pauline tone of the book. Many believe it is made up of notes of Paul’s synagogue addresses, taken down possibly by Tertius or Luke or some of Paul’s amenuenses and re vised by him. Light of Conscience What was the light of John 1:9 which is said to light every man that cometh into the world? This is the light of conscience which is given to every man and which makes him morally responsible. This conscience is spiritual as coming from God, but is not to be confounded with the new birth, which comes

Eating Meat Do the restrictions placed on the eating of certain meats in Leviticus 11 apply to Christians today? They do not. Turn to First Tim othy 4:3-—-“ Commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.”, Matthew 24:13 M y Sunday school class wishes to know your interpretation of Matthew 24:13. This verse reads— He that shall en dure unto the end, the same shall be saved. In studying the chapter in Matthew we understand that the en tire chapter refers to the great tribu lation that is to come upon the earth. The Lord Jesus referred to that event when He uttered the words of verse 13, and He had in mind the faithful remnant of that day. “Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many . . . But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” I accept the principle here set forth. If a man does not endure unto the end, he only reveals what he was all the while— a mere professor; not a real born-again soul. Battle of Armageddon Where will the battle of Arma geddon be fought? Armageddon is a large plain of irregular shape a few miles out of Jerusalem, bounded on the north by the hills of Galilee; about 20 miles to the east bounded by the hills be low Nazareth, and about 20 miles to the southwest bounded by the high lands of Samaria. Here is a vast plain in a hilly country very suitable for army maneuvers. Many battles have been fought on this plain. In the Old Testament it is called the valley of Megiddo, the plain of Jezreel, the plain of Esdraelon. In Revelation we read of the greatest battle of all, yet in the future, and it will end in the most decisive victory in all history. The Antichrist, the king of the north (Russia), and the sunrising kings will meet on this battlefield.

to those who, seeing the true Light, Christ, believe on Him and thus fol low the light mentioned in John 1:9. The standard by which God will judge those who have not received a knowledge of Christ is revealed in Romans 1:18 to 3:19. Questionable Version of the Bible I do not like the lessons of o u t Sunday school as they are brought in the language of the questionable new version. What can I do about it? This must be answered on a very personal basis. If you do not like the language used in this version and feel that you cannot sit under this teaching any longer I suggest that you make it a matter of prayer as to what God would have you do about it. Does Matthew Contradict Luke? A modernist minister claims that Matthew and Luke offer contradic tions as to the genealogy of Jesus. No, Matthew offers the genealogy of Joseph, while Dr. Luke gives that of Mary. But you ask, why did the Holy Spirit record Joseph’s genealogy since he was not the father of Jesus? Because, through him, the head of the Nazareth home, Christ had the legal right to the throne of His father, David. Had there been a king of the Jews in the time of Joseph, he would have been that king. And as the eldest Son of Mary, the eldest Son in that Nazareth home, Christ had every right to be King. It is marvelously interesting to study these two genealogies closely. In the first place, Matthew traces Joseph’s ancestry back only as far as Abraham, for he was writing only for the Jews. This proved the point in question—that Jesus was the heir to Abraham’s land, and the covenant heir to David’s throne. Luke, how ever, traces Mary’s ancestry back to Adam, “ which was the son of God” ; for Luke is here showing that Christ is the perfect Son of Man, the Sav iour of the whole world.
