- Mutación de la vivienda: plantea dos elementos claramente definidos, el núcleo de servicios base (baño-cocina-dormitorio) y la unidad de planta libre (estar), que entrega la posibilidad de mutar el interior modificando el número de habitáculos según necesidad. - Umbral de acceso: el proyecto permite la transición desde Av. Recoleta mediante la liberación del nivel de calle, entregando al habitante un espacio de esparcimiento (plaza dura amplia y abierta al tejido urbano). - Espacio público: los recorridos y terrazas permiten la comunicación espacial (horizontal y vertical) entre unidades habitacionales y la apropiación del espacio que traslada el estar-comedor al exterior para la libre modificación interna. Así, los espacios públicos del edificio se transforman en un gran estar comunitario. El jurado destacó la fina inserción en el barrio y el concepto del proyecto, que logró la particularidad de abocarse a estudiar soluciones específicas y no genéricas, resuelto con un único volumen, muy sintético en su forma pero muy rico en cada solución específica. - Mutation of the dwelling: Two distinct elements, the basic service core (bathroom-kitchen-bedroom) and the open plan unit (living room), which provides the ability to mutate the interior modifying the number of accommodations as needed. - Access threshold: The project allows the transition from Recoleta Avenue by clearing the street level, giving the residents a recreational space (a large hardscaped square open to the urban fabric). - Public space: The walks and terraces enables horizontal and vertical spatial communication between housing units, and the appropriation of space that transfers the living-dining area outdoors to allow free indoor modifications. Thus, the public spaces of the building are transformed into a great communal resting area. The jury noted the delicate insertion into the neighborhood and the conceptual proposal able to uniquely tackle the study of specific and non generic solutions within a single volume, concise in form, but very rich in each specific solution.
