Las circulaciones externas de la vivienda se vuelcan a espacios de uso público hacia las plazas duras, mientras que las viviendas adquieren vistas y espacios más privados volcados hacia el humedal. En resguardo de la estructura metálica en el proyecto emerge de la cimentación, que no solo actúa de manera funcional sino que permite ser habitada según la temporalidad del humedal. A juicio del jurado, además de su buen emplazamiento y configuración general destaca la fineza y calidad de los detalles constructivos en acero, abordando también la problemática de la protección de edificaciones en zonas de peligro de tsunamis. The outer circulations of the housing connect to the hardscaped public squares, while the houses’ private spaces overlook the wetlands. In order to protect the metal structure of the project its foundation rises above ground level, creating a temporary functional space depending on the changing level of the wetlands. According to the jury, in addition to its good location and general configuration, the quality and subtleness of the steel construction and detailing stands out, while also addressing the issue of the protection of buildings in tsunami hazard zones.
