Por su parte, un moderno gimnasio se ubica detrás de la multicancha, mientras que el auditorio, enterrado, aparece como volumen hacia el río quebrando la línea de fachada continua. Algunos laboratorios, talleres y baños completan el primer nivel, mientras que el comedor y sus servicios cierran el edificio hacia la calle lateral. En el segundo nivel, armado solo por estos volúmenes zigzagueantes a modo de puentes están todas las salas de clases, además de laboratorios y baños. El paisajismo complementa las líneas trazadas por la arquitectura. En este sentido, en el nivel principal se distribuyen los árboles de manera ordenada, creando nuevos usos a través de diferentes matices de luz en los patios, en tanto que en el segundo nivel las terrazas reciben jardineras a los costados, haciéndolas más seguras para que los niños puedan circular tranquilamente en estos recintos. El edificio está postulando a certificación Leed para establecimientos educacionales, con estrategias de significativo mejoramiento energético; uso grifería de bajo consumo de agua en baños, duchas y cocina y disminución del 10% en consumo eléctrico gracias a equipos especiales. Considera una disposición de pabellones espaciados con orientación norte, lo que permite un buen acceso del sol, iluminación de las salas entre cada pabellón mejorando la calidad interior para promover una mayor productividad.
Meanwhile, a modern gym sits behind the multisport field, while the sunken auditorium emerges as a volume towards the river breaking the continuous façade. Laboratories, workshops and bathrooms complete the first level, while the dining room and ancillary services close the building to the side street. The zigzagging volumes on the second level contain all the classrooms, labs and bathrooms. The landscaping follows the lines set down by the architecture. On the main level the trees are placed in an orderly manner, enabling new uses through different shades of light in the courtyards, while on the second level planters line the edges of the terraces, making them safer for children’s movement in these areas. The building is applying for LEED certification for educational institutions, with significant energy improvement strategies: water-saving fixtures are used in bathrooms, showers and kitchen, and the use of special equipment generates a 10% decrease in power consumption. The building features an arrangement of separate north facing pavilions allowing for good sunlight penetration and room lighting between each pavilion, improving interior spatial quality and promoting greater productivity.
