El edificio cuenta con espacios e infraestructura para fomentar el encuentro comunitario y el acervo cultural. El proyecto beneficia a más de 6 mil alumnos de los colegios municipales y subvencionados de la comuna, además de las 13 agrupaciones folclóricas, con la finalidad de rescatar las raíces de Lo Barnechea. Para esto, el edificio alberga espacios para talleres de teatro, artes visuales, artesanía, manualidades, música, cine, literatura, juegos de mesa, ecología y medio ambiente, danza, artes y cocina tradicional, entre otros. Emplazado en un terreno esquina, el edificio se proyectó abierto a la calle, creando un anfiteatro exterior que es la extensión del espacio público –donde los actos y las manifestaciones culturales quedan expuestos al peatón– y un gran hall que recorre todo el centro, conectando los niveles y potenciando el encuentro al interior. The building features spaces and infrastructure to encourage community meetings and preserve the local cultural heritage. The project will benefit more than 6,000 students from municipal and subsidized schools in the district plus 13 folk groups, in order to rescue the heritage of Lo Barnechea. The building includes venues to host, among others, theater workshops, visual arts, crafts, music, film, literature, board games, ecology and the environment, dance, traditional arts and cuisine. Located on a corner site, the building was designed to open towards the street creating an outdoor amphitheater as an extension of the public space, where the acts and cultural events are exposed to pedestrians. A large hall runs through the middle, connecting the levels and favoring indoor encounters.
