Parte del encargo era rescatar el estilo tradicional de las construcciones de la zona, aspecto que se reforzó en la opción por trabajar con gente del lugar con experiencia en el trabajo de estructuras en madera. Frente a esa consideración, las propuestas buscaron incorporar trazos y materialidades típicos de la arquitectura sureña, pero aportando trazos modernos y limpios. De las dos tipologías se construyeron cinco casas, con variaciones en dimensiones y terminaciones para cada familia. Tipología H: la primera tipología surge de uno de los mandantes, quien presenta un esquema que separa los espacios públicos de los privados. En ese contexto se conforman tres cuerpos bajo el perfil de dos aguas, dos cuerpos de mayor envergadura unidos por un tercero, conformado en planta un esquema H. Este esquema genera una mayor superficie de fachadas, que si bien afecta la eficiencia energética permite generar mayores relaciones entre los recintos y el exterior. Así, se configuran una serie de espacios entre volúmenes, desde un patio de acceso o recepción a un patio exterior-interior que separa lo público de lo privado. Faced with this consideration, the proposals sought to incorporate the traditional lines and materials from southern Chilean architecture, while incorporating modern and clean lines. In total five houses of the two types were built, with variations in dimensions and finishes for each family. Type H: the first type originated in one of the clients who presented a scheme that separated public from private spaces. The composition is based on three bodies with a gabled roof profile, the two larger ones joined by a third, creating an H shaped plan scheme. This scheme features an increased façade surface, affecting energy efficiency but generating more indoor-outdoor interaction. A series of spaces appear between the volumes, from an access courtyard to an indoor-outdoor patio that separates the public from the private areas.
