En un terreno isla entre Américo Vespucio, Los Turistas, El Salto y el cerro San Cristóbal, consiste en una larga barra de sándwiches, con panadería y local de comida preparada. Entendiendo la velocidad del entorno, los referentes histórico-geográficos y la forma alargada del terreno, se trabajó un volumen donde la longitud de la barra da forma al edificio, que se abre hacia el norte para recoger la luz y la vista hacia el Palacio Riesco, y hacia el oriente, con la vista al cerro San Cristóbal y la luz de la mañana. Al volumen se le superpone una estructura que absorbe parte de la exposición solar y actúa como doble techo ventilado, que además define la escala del edificio. The project consists of a long sandwich bar with a bakery and a food stand located on an island plot bounded by Américo Vespucio Avenue, Los Turistas Street, El Salto Avenue and the San Cristóbal Hill. Taking into consideration the speed of the context, the historical and geographical references and the elongated shape of the plot, the design proposes a volume where the length of the bar gives shape to the building. It opens to the north to receive natural light and the views towards Riesco Palace, and to the east towards San Cristóbal Hill and the morning sunshine. The volume is covered by a structure that absorbs part of the solar radiation and acts as a double ventilated roof while also providing scale to the building.
