JOB PURPOSE As a pivotal member of the executive team, the Head of Engineering is responsible for implementing and overseeing top-tier operational services across Engineering, Technical Systems, Energy and Carbon efficiency, Building Fabric, Infrastructure, and Mobilisations of new phases at Chelsea Barracks. Their core responsibility is to ensure seamless collaboration among specialist service teams (contract service partners) to embody the vision and ambition of Chelsea Barracks. This role requires expert management of these teams, ensuring the highest standards of core services delivery within scope, budget, and contractual obligations, all while upholding key performance indicators. The Head of Engineering will exemplify inspirational leadership, blending robustness and resilience with diplomatic finesse to foster constructive relationships with stakeholders, commercial and residential occupants, customers, visitors, contract service partners, and the broader community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CUSTOMER/STAKEHOLDER ORIENTATION • Ensure consistent communication which reflects the unified Chelsea Barracks brand and values. • Participate in meetings with key stakeholders and the executive management team, effectively managing issues and providing consistent updates. • Align procurement and service delivery with the client’s standards and procedures. • Provide timely and accurate reports for the client and key stakeholders as required. • Manage confidential and sensitive information with utmost professionalism. TECHNICAL ABILITY & COMMISSIONING EXPERIENCE • Review the current operational model to ensure cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

CONTRACT & SERVICE PARTNER MANAGEMENT

• Cultivate a cohesive “One Site One Team” ethos across all teams and service providers. • Effective contractor management to ensure they deliver high quality service and fulfil their contractual responsibilities. • Enforce safety protocols to establish a secure working environment for staff, contractors, and residents. • Vigilantly monitor commercial operations and leases, cooperating with retailers to boost sales and harmonize their operations with the estate. • Regularly review operational contracts to ensure they are fit for purpose, procuring services according to company policy. • Oversee daily management of the Facilities department, staff, contractors, and work activities
