ENHANCING THE LIVES OF THOSE WE TOUCH
FRANK VANDERSLOOT
EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN
The Strength of Our Business Model
in the beginning you should request help from your enroler in making presentations. You will learn from your enroler as you perfect your presentation skills. Then you will be prepared to help others. As the numbers show, we value and give generous rewards to those who help us find and keep loyal customers. Superior products, reasonable pricing, generous compensation – they all work together to create the most successful business model in the marketplace. Whether you decide to be a loyal customer or a business builder, we appreciate your decision to be a part of Melaleuca! Our endeavor is to introduce superior Melaleuca wellness products to those we care about so they can have longer, more vibrant, and healthier lives. Those who simply use our products will benefit by having a healthier, more vibrant life. And those who refer customers consistently will prosper with repeat income that will bless their lives forever.
of a year or longer. A serious business builder should use time wisely. Certainly, one could spend a lot longer than 50 hours on unproductive activities and still not enrol eight customers. One could argue that a 50-hour investment does not a business make. But achieving Director status with 8 to 10 customers is a good start. Customers are precious to us. We should take care of them. If we do, not only will they remain loyal customers but many will refer other customers as well. The danger in talking numbers or percentages is that someone might make the mistake of thinking that building a Melaleuca business is somehow a game of chance or of beating the odds. This could not be further from the truth. The value of understanding the numbers is only to create a valid explanation of the averages. It’s really not an indication of what you will do. But averages are interesting to consider. Let’s suppose you decide to build a Melaleuca business. As a rule, 81% of your customers will not refer any new customers to your business. But that will not diminish their value. As they continue to buy products each month directly from the company, your commission on their purchases will provide valuable income that you can count on each month. On the other hand, approximately 19% of your customers will eventually refer at least one customer to your Melaleuca business. Many will make a small commission on the customers they introduce to Melaleuca. Sure, they are just “dabbling” and many may not develop the skills to make a good product presentation. Therefore, you will want to help them. In fact,
to Melaleuca. It is obvious that their primary objective with Melaleuca is to receive the products – not to work the business or receive any financial reward. This is not to say that these customers do not appreciate their monthly checks (it is much better than what they receive from Safeway or Walmart), but the tiny check that they receive is clearly not their main incentive for being Melaleuca customers. The strength of Melaleuca’s business model is that it is based on hundreds of thousands of customers purchasing better products each month at a better value than the grocery store brands. Approximately 10% of those who have been introduced to Melaleuca products and have become Melaleuca customers eventually decide to build a Melaleuca business and invest the time and effort necessary to reach Director status. That means they have probably spent an estimated 50 hours or more at some point in their lives introducing Melaleuca products and catalogs to prospective customers. (Although some achieve Director in a single day, we estimate that it takes the average person about 50 hours of concentrated effort to become a Director.) One might spend those 50 hours in a single week or over a period
As I review the many statistics that come across my desk each month, I am continually impressed by the diligence and hard work of those who are building a Melaleuca business. I am also impressed by how many lives are being enhanced by the concept of “helping people reach their goals.” But I am impressed most of all by the increasing popularity of Melaleuca products and the rapid growth of our customer base. The message behind those numbers is quite compelling – and that’s an understatement! They testify of the strength of our product line and the power behind the concept of “exceptional products at reasonable prices.” The fact that there are more than a million Melaleuca households that purchase Melaleuca products every single month for no reason other than the fact that they want the best, most effective natural products in the marketplace sends a resounding message. The fact that one in ten of these loyal customers will eventually decide to build a Melaleuca business is also compelling. In fact, 81% of Melaleuca customers receive no financial incentive at all! And another 9% receive a tiny commission each month because at some point in their lives, they referred a few customers
Sincerely,
@FLVanderSloot

Success: It all starts in your mind Here’s a question
The biggest predictor of your success is simply .… your mindset.
It’s not your business acumen. It’s not your people skills. It’s not your experience, a particular degree, or the size of your social network. It’s not even how smoothly you can present Melaleuca: An Overview . Here it is. The biggest predictor of your success is simply … your mindset. Wait. Is that right? Your mindset? What is a mindset anyway? A mindset refers to a person’s set of beliefs, attitudes, and perspectives that shape their behavior and how they perceive the world around them. You can think of it as a mental framework that guides an individual’s thoughts and actions. For example, imagine someone you know with a growth mindset. They believe that their abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. When faced with a challenge, they see it as an opportunity to learn and improve rather than a sign of their limitations. This mindset can lead them to take on new challenges, persist through difficulties, and ultimately achieve their goals. On the other hand, a person with a fixed mindset might believe that their abilities and intelligence are set in stone
and can’t be changed. They might shy away from challenges, fearing that failure will reveal their inherent limitations. As a Melaleuca business builder with a strong, resilient, positive mindset, you’ll see far beyond any noes . You can commit to making consistent effort day after day – confident that you will eventually reach your goals. You won’t leave anyone off your contact list – even if at one point you couldn’t imagine them being interested. So how do you form a new mindset that will allow you to exponentially grow your business? Over the next few months, I’m going to pose that question to several of Melaleuca’s most successful Marketing Executives – individuals with proven growth mindsets. We’ll get a closer glimpse into what’s going on in their minds when things are going well – and when things aren’t going well at all. I want to show you that even though circumstances are almost never ideal, and life keeps putting big obstacles in your path, with the right mindset you can not only survive but thrive.
we should all be thinking about. What is the most reliable predictor of success in consistently growing
and advancing your Melaleuca business?

Rather than work 12 or 14 hours a day and barely put dinner on the table, you found a way to be at home and provide for your family. But it was a risk. What drew you to this path? Alan: Statistically speaking, 80% of people who make it to retirement age have to keep working to make ends meet. That never made sense to me. And I saw it firsthand growing up. My parents ran
It’s one thing to build a business, and more of a challenge to be at the top – and stay there. How did you build the mental resilience required to do that? Sondra: I had to stretch the limits of my own self-worth. In the early days, $100,000 a year was my mental limit. I didn’t think I deserved to make more than that. I had to work through a lot of emotional blockage to reach my
Sondra: When I’m not thinking straight, I go back to gratitude. I also try never to operate from a scarcity mindset. It will shoot you in the foot every time. People who can’t be happy for other people need to work on themselves. And the truth is that if you operate from a scarcity mindset, you’ll never experience abundance. But if you work from a place of abundance and celebrate other people’s success, it will eventually percolate into your life.
I’ve admired Alan and Sondra Pariser over the years as they have both worked hard to build incredibly successful Melaleuca businesses. Alan has a Corporate Director 7 business. Sondra has built an Executive Director 9 business. They work closely together to grow and manage both businesses. Both are seasoned leaders. Both have a passion for helping others. Both have had to overcome huge barriers to find themselves where they are today. And their journey is far from over. Please study this interview with Alan and Sondra. Pay attention to their mindset. Look for how they cultivate and nurture that mindset. Ask how your thinking would need to change to better mirror that of Alan and Sondra. Let’s start simple: How do you describe yourselves? Alan: I’m a family man. That’s the whole reason why I got into this business, to take care of my family, to be with my family. Very few careers allow people to do that. Sondra: I’m a truth seeker and a truth speaker, and I’m very mission-driven. I want to enhance peoples’ lives and help them reach their goals.
21-year-old – I turned to the thing I’d always been drawn to: self-development – Tony Robbins books, Denis Waitley cassettes, and so on. That has paid dividends. Over the years, our focus on mindset development has undoubtedly been our edge, allowing us to take different perspectives, filter out all the noise, and believe in ourselves. Also, there’s the training. Sondra and I feel like we get the best training on the planet at Melaleuca because we go to Conventions, we go to Standing Executive Leadership Council meetings, we’re invited to Leadership Quest, and we attend ADVANCE meetings.
What are your days like? What’s your routine? What helps you?
full potential. Alan and I did that together. We’ve done some incredible things as a couple, and I’m so proud of that, especially given where we came from. We had the furthest things from loving, perfect homes growing up, but at Melaleuca, we had the perfect environment to grow again.
Alan: The key word for us is routine . If you aren’t following one, you’re following someone else’s. I get up at 5:30 a.m. and look at our Melaleuca reports from the night before. Then it’s right to the gym. By 7:30 a.m. Sondra is taking the kids to school. When she gets home, we get right into it – prospecting calls, or presentations, internal trainings, and so on. We call it when it’s time to get our eight-year-old off the bus. I refuse to schedule anything during that time; that’s how important that ritual is to me. Then one of us picks up our other daughter from school, and we dive into homework, activities, dinner, and bedtime.
If there’s one thing that’s kept us moving forward, it’s showing up, again and again, to continue developing our minds.
Your Assignment Alan and Sondra have accomplished many of their original goals through their hard work. They’ve developed skills that make them better leaders, better teachers, and better mentors. But the struggles they still face each day are no different than yours. So what is the difference? Their mindset. Here’s what I invite you to do right now: Write down something that’s hard for you to deal with – that you find yourself running away from. Now ask yourself, “Is what I want worth tackling that obstacle?” If your answer is yes, you’ve just given yourself permission to do the work and make the changes that will propel you toward your goal.
How do you regain your focus when you get hit with hard times?
Sondra & Alan Pariser
Alan: We all struggle. We’re human. But you can’t lose sight of those fundamental things you need in order to move your business forward: expanding your contact list and making approaches. If you can get the fear out of your mind and approach people, you can get out of any struggle. Focus on the essential things, the central things, that you must do to move forward. That’s a discipline people can meditate on – a mantra they can get into.
a construction business and did a great job providing for their family, but they were constantly stressed, putting in long hours, and there was no end in sight. For me, Melaleuca was a way out, a new possibility. Did I want to go the traditional route or veer off the beaten path? The answer was simple. I knew immediately that it was what I wanted to do.
What has kept you moving forward over the years? Where have you gotten your edge?
Alan: When I was young, I never understood why I was in school. I didn’t understand the actual application. Mindset development was always more interesting to me. When I first got to Melaleuca – an awkward, unsure, insecure

CRITICAL BUSINESS-BUILDING ACTIVITIES
Melaleuca presents EUROPEAN
If you want to achieve your goals with Melaleuca, you need to focus on and repeatedly do these seven activities day after day and week after week.
1 Build Your Contact List
ACHIEVEMENT LEADERS The European Achievement Leaders are those businesses with the highest contribution index. The contribution index is the product of the net increase in their Organisational Preferred Customers during the prior 60 days, multiplied by the number of each leader’s personally enrolled Directors, plus their number of personally enrolled customers. Membership of this elite group is reviewed bi-monthly. In order to be recognised as a member of this team, leaders must submit a picture to Melaleuca.
Set Appointments 2
I want you to notice something about the Seven Critical Activities, the first four in particular. You cannot do Critical Activity 3, Share Overviews, before you do Critical Activity 2 or Critical Activity 1. That’s not how it works. These activities are in this order because that’s the order you’ll need to do them in. Before you can hold a Strategy Session, you need to present Melaleuca: An Overview and enrol a customer. And before you can do that, you’ll need to invite someone you know to your Overview. There’s a reason the first Critical Activity is not Set Appointments. Before you invite someone to your Overview, you should already have a relationship. The first thing to do is add their name to your contact list and begin establishing a relationship. When the time is right, you can invite them to attend a Melaleuca Overview and make a decision about Melaleuca. We are a “warm market” company. The right way to build your business is with people who know you, like you, and trust you. So before you approach someone to set an appointment, take the time to build a genuine relationship with them. As you help them reach their goals, you’ll find that those personal relationships can be just as rewarding – if not more so – as your income from your Melaleuca business.

MEET THE COLLECTION
The truth is delicate: The skin around your eyes is thinner than any other location on your body! It contains fewer oil glands and collagen fibres, making it more susceptible to visible ageing and skin-tone degradation (which is why heavier products designed for facial skin often weigh down skin around the eyes and may do more harm than good). Our innovative new eye care collection has been uniquely reformulated with fast-acting, scientifically proven ingredients that work with the delicate skin under and around your eyes to deliver proven results. This collection features Sei Bella® Bright Eyes Dark Circle Minimising Serum, Sei Bella Night Recovery Eye Cream, and Sei Bella Cooling Eye Gel. What’s new about this collection? NEW! Paying cash for new car tires. Taking care of that last overdue medical bill. Starting a savings account. Finally affording the dance lessons your daughter has always wanted. A Melaleuca paycheck cashes out to be so much more than just figures on a spreadsheet. Even seemingly small amounts of extra income from Melaleuca can transform lives in meaningful ways. Seven billion dollars resulting in seven billion smiles. Seven billion whoops of cheer. Seven billion moments of accomplishment. Seven billion ways to change lives.
This month, Melaleuca and its Marketing Executives celebrate a momentous milestone – since 1985, more than $7 billion in commissions have been paid to families just like yours. Sharing profits is so much more than a mutually beneficial partnership; it’s a fundamental way that Melaleuca puts its mission into action.

Christy’s Story Christy Carr Director 9 Pennsylvania, USA
Enrolled November 2020 Standing up for her personal beliefs had a big financial impact on Christy Carr and her family. But thanks to Melaleuca, she was able to be true to herself and forge a new future with her family. “I worked as a nurse for 25 years,” Christy says. “For the last 15 years of my nursing career I worked as a pediatric home care nurse. Then my employer gave me a mandate that I did not feel comfortable following. Because of my stance, I had to walk away from clients whom I had taken care of for those 15 years. “I was a Melaleuca customer at the time. I always shared how much I loved the products on social media. I didn’t know it was possible to earn money doing that; I just believed in the products so much. I have always just enjoyed helping people. It was only later that my enroler told me about the Compensation Plan. “My husband is a real estate agent, and his income has gone down 40% in the current economy. My Melaleuca check saved us. It paid a car payment one month, then took care of a mortgage payment the next.
My checks aren’t huge, but they’ve been enough for me to pay for things, so my family didn’t have to worry about them. Without my repeat income, we would have no money coming in some months. We have some real estate investments, but they aren’t liquid, so we would have been late on our mortgage and our car payment. We would have struggled to put food on the table. If I went back to nursing, I would have to work 80 hours a week away from my home and family to make what I am now making with Melaleuca. “I thank God for Melaleuca. It just brings good things to us. It’s about more than the money. It’s being able to pay our bills when we need to. My 19-year-old son, Maxwell, is heading to college. My 16-year-old daughter, Marley, is in braces. I’ve always cared about helping people, and I feel now that I’m making a difference in people’s lives by helping them take control of their health preventively to stay healthy. “I recently had to take a month off to recover from a surgery. I had to step back from the things I normally did to build my business. But thanks to my repeat income,
I was able to take that time off to heal. In many other businesses, I would be fired for not coming into work for a month! Or I would take sick leave and not have money coming in. When I received my check after that month, I cried. I am just so grateful for what Melaleuca provides for my family.” Christy’s Melaleuca income has helped her weather the upsets in the economy and still stay on track financially, paying for braces, helping prepare her son for college, and keeping food on the table. And Christy was able to enjoy the added bonus of earning meaningful income while being at home with her family.
Lindsey’s Story Lindsey Short Director 7 Indiana, USA Enrolled December 2019 Having several hundred dollars from Melaleuca come in every month has always been nice for Lindsey and her husband, Jason. But it became a lifeline she was glad to have established early on when life threw her not one but two curveballs. “I first enrolled in December 2019 and hit the ground running,” Lindsey says. “I advanced to Director 3 pretty quickly, and then life hit us hard. I became pregnant and had a difficult pregnancy. Cruz was born about four-and-a-half months early with severe medical complications. I spent seven months in the NICU with my son. The children’s hospital he was in was three hours away from my home. I disconnected from everything else and just focused on
my family during that time. Because of the small shopping business I had built with Melaleuca, I received paychecks that ranged from $400 to $700 every month from just maintaining what I had built before. That helped us maintain two households for seven months and afford travel, food, gas, and our regular bills. “After Cruz came home and got settled, I was able to jump back into building my Melaleuca business and focus on paying off the debt we had incurred while he was in the hospital. Then this last November, six weeks before Christmas, Jason lost his job and six-figure salary. I started crying when he told me, but I took a breath and ran the numbers of what we needed and how much I had been earning from Melaleuca. I knew I could cover our expenses while he looked for new work. I can’t tell you the weight that took off my shoulders. We were still able to create a wonderful Christmas for our kids without a lot of stress. I cried that one time, but that was it. “I don’t even want to think about where we would be without Melaleuca. We still haven’t received an unemployment check for Jason yet. I could go out and get a job in the corporate world, but there’s always a financial cap. Because of Cruz’s complex medical needs, only one of us can work outside of the home.
First Melaleuca check: $100 Average monthly Melaleuca repeat income: $1,086 Lindsey’s story was made possible by just a few of those $7 billion that came from sharing our amazing wellness products. Her monthly commission checks gave her precious moments with her baby. And they gave her the ability to focus on family when nothing else mattered. Melaleuca is always looking for ways to enhance the lives of their customers and Marketing Executives. They stay true to that on every level, and that shows great integrity as a company. It makes me proud to be partnered with Melaleuca.” “I’ve been able to scale my Melaleuca business based on what my family needs. I got my business to where it was by building on a part-time schedule. Now I am spending more time on my business since Jason is taking care of our children. Melaleuca has been an amazing solution throughout these upsets. I found Melaleuca at just the right time. I know I’m in the right place. From the products to the Compensation Plan,

CELEBRATION & EVENTS
Megan’s Story Megan Doyle Director 4 Iowa, USA Enrolled January 2022 Newlyweds often live on a shoestring budget, but pay cuts undermined all of Megan Doyle’s even most modest plans. “My husband, Wesley, and I got married in October 2021,” Megan says. “At that time, we both changed our employment. Wesley took a different job at lower pay, and I left an MLM that I realized was not worth the time I put into it. I worked at it constantly; I was in the top 2% of earners, and I had made $1,900 in my best year there. I just prayed and asked God to provide. After a few months, we were getting to the point where we couldn’t survive off one income. Our bills were not getting paid, and I was nervous that my car would be repossessed. My daughter Madeline’s birthday was coming up, and I was so nervous that we wouldn’t be able to afford to do anything for her. I wasn’t sure if we could afford buying a box of cake mix.
CONFERENCE 2024 AWARDS
“During this time, I was shown Melaleuca: An Overview , and I knew Melaleuca could be a way for us to make additional income. I got a Melaleuca check right before my daughter’s birthday. The total was $1,216.25. I remember thinking that I would definitely be able to do more than just a box of cake mix! I was able to rent a place for the party, get decorations, and have a beautiful, memorable party. We had another baby this past February, and we chose a home birth. Our insurance helped a little with that, but not a lot. With our Melaleuca income – our commissions, the Critical Activity Bonus, and Advancement Bonuses – we paid for that home birth upfront. “Last year, we participated in Fast Track and earned the Tulum trip. We were able to pay for our plane tickets with my Melaleuca income. It was such a beautiful vacation! That was the first time Wesley or I had been out of the country. It was close to our one-year anniversary, and it was such a nice getaway for both of us. I’ll forever treasure those special memories.
“Over the last year being with Melaleuca, I’ve replaced my previous income tenfold. My time is more valued here. There are so many families struggling right now. Thanks to Melaleuca, we are not feeling that stress, and I am so grateful for that. But even more than my own personal finances, I get to help others enjoy the same blessings. There’s a purpose in this journey, and it’s to help other people. It makes me emotional to help ease the struggles of others. There aren’t words for how much of a blessing that is.” The money to pay bills is essential. The money that gives us the ability to make once-in-a lifetime memories can’t be calculated with a dollar sign. First Melaleuca check: $265 Average monthly Melaleuca repeat income: $540
Earning period: January 1, 2023–December 31, 2023

EUROPEAN CONFERENCE KRAKOW
Jessica Chau – UK, Director 8 “I was honoured and extremely grateful to be invited to speak at Melaleuca’s 2023 European Conference. I felt everyone’s energy in the room! It was an exhilarating experience! Meeting all the amazing people and celebrating their success. It was incredibly motivating, cheering others on for their achievements and then getting celebrated, for mine. I made new friends and exchanged insights with them on how to build a business properly. My personal highlight was the Gala Event. I’m extremely proud of my best friend Executive Director 3 Vivian who won the 2023 Presidents Club award as well as the Team of the Year award! I’ve been fortunate, and am grateful, to have an amazing leader. Hard work really does pay off, and now I truly understand the meaning behind the statement “To enhance the lives of those we touch by helping them achieve their goals”. My life is now enhanced! My team and I look forward to next year’s event!”
On the weekend of the 18th through the 19th of March 2023, Melaleuca of Europe held its European Conference. In attendance were 100’s of Marketing Executives from almost all countries throughout Europe (and even some from outside Europe!). The incredible two-day event was hosted by both Melaleuca of Europes General Manager Thorsten Kilb and Senior National Coaching and Leadership Development Manager Magdalena Uss as well as special guest US Vice President of International Benjamin Sweetwood. During the weekend conference, attendees participated in training sessions, listened to fellow Marketing Executives success stories, new product announcements, as well celebrated each other success. One of the main highlights of the event was the Gala Dinner. Attendees with extraordinary accomplishments were celebrated again during the dinner and were gifted trophies so that they can display their great achievements.
Agata Chochołowska – PL, Director 6 “I love attending events like this. Meeting people who work with Melaleuca, you exchange experiences, but also listen and learn and hopefully help inspire yourself with stories from people who have been successful with Melaleuca. We had fantastic training sessions, including with Kasia Dziura, Ewelina Recka and Agnieszka Kozera, who gave lots of tips on how to act, what to pay attention to, how to organise your work. It’s great that everyone here wants to help us and share their knowledge. I came back from this conference with new ideas which I am already putting into practice.”

BUSINESS BUILDING
DEVELOPING DIRECTORS HELPS EVERYBODY WIN! The surest way to grow your Melaleuca business and your monthly repeat income is to develop Directors.
It all starts with a phone call.
Your strategy guide is Presidential Director Jeff Miller, a Melaleuca master leader. Jeff enrolled in 1996 and has since developed one of the most impressive organisations at Melaleuca with 1,632 Directors in his organisation and a retention rate of 95.7%. His lifetime earnings are $30,549,654, and his average monthly repeat income is $145,889. Early in his Melaleuca career, Jeff realised that developing Directors is what a serious business builder needs to focus on.

BUSINESS BUILDING

THE WAY FORWARD The Seven Critical Business- Building Activities are designed to help you develop Directors repeatedly. As you continually add names to your contact list, set appointments, present Melaleuca: An Overview , and follow through with the other Critical Business- Building Activities, you’ll have all the cards in your hand to develop Director after Director.
GETTING STARTED When you enrol someone who says they are interested in building their own Melaleuca business, you just might have a new business partner on your hands. What a boon! When a new enroler indicates that their level of interest in building a business equates to a Category 2 or 3, that’s really exciting. But what comes next?
STRATEGIC MANEUVERS
KEEPING SCORE “My enroler Corporate Director 9, Ed Bestoso, has always taught that the guy with the most Directors wins,” Jeff says. “He’s a great example of that, and I’ve taken that to heart as I’ve built my Presidential Director business. The way to build a solid business and enjoy Melaleuca’s generous repeat income is to develop as many Directors as you can – and teach your Directors to do the same. That’s all it takes to win here. And by winning here, you’re helping others win too.”
Strategy Sessions are always held privately with the new enrolee – no group meetings here. In-person Strategy Sessions are the most powerful. Follow up on the Foundations video, review their contact list, and see that they’ve placed their order. If they haven’t completed the tasks, reassess their participation category. If they still say they are a Category 2 or 3, recommit them to the pending assignments. A real Category 2 or 3 follows through with action! Set a completion date and ask how you can best support them. “If the enrolee questions their participation level,” Jeff says, “that’s okay. Remind them that you’re there and ready whenever they are. Don’t strain your relationship. Remember that 81% of enrolments result in loyal shoppers who never refer Melaleuca – and those shoppers are what create powerful repeat income.” Once your enrolee has completed their assigned tasks, it’s time to race to Director. Here’s what your Strategy Session should look like. • Discuss their why • Set goals that align with their Category participation level • Create a plan to reach those goals • Discuss the Pacesetter Program • Map out a strategy to achieve Director 3 in Pacesetter Timeframe • Schedule their first Overview • Train them on approaches and have them make their first approach while the two of you are still together
4
A NEW PARTNER Your new Customer has decided that they are a Category 2 or 3 because of the Melaleuca Overview you presented. You successfully showcased the value of a Melaleuca Membership and the strength of Melaleuca’s customer referral program. You’ve gotten your enrolee dreaming about extra income. They are already thinking about who they can refer, and they believe they are capable of building a business – they wouldn’t identify as a Category 2 or 3 otherwise.
5
THE STRATEGY Creating momentum for this new enrolee is important, and timing is critical. The first emotions of excitement are powerful and important – but they are also fragile. Self-doubt goes hand in hand with trying new things. And the clock is ticking before some Negative Nancy tells your new business partner that they are foolish for even trying. You are your new partner’s first cheerleader, and you may even be their only cheerleader for a while. The goal is to get your new enroler to Director as fast as possible. Just by taking a few immediate actions, you can fan the spark of excitement into a flame of commitment that a breeze of doubt can’t snuff out.
6
EVERY SUCCESS STORY HAS A BEGINNING As soon as your new enrolee tells you they are a Category 2 or 3, it’s your turn to move. First, schedule a Strategy Session to take place within the next day or two – no more than 48 hours after the Overview. Once that is scheduled, give your partner these three tasks: 1. Place an order. 2. Watch the Foundations video. 3. Start a contact list with a very minimum of at least 20 names (many Marketing Executives challenge their new partners to come up with 50 or even 100 names for their contact list). Tell your enrolee that they need to accomplish these tasks by the Strategy Session. A clear time line and expectation of accountability will increase success. And remind them that you’ll help them every step of the way and that you’re ready to go at whatever speed they set for building their business.
LEVEL UP AND REPEAT Assist your new business partner as they continue to make approaches, hold Overviews, and learn the rest of the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities. With just eight enrolments, they’ll become a Melaleuca Director! As they repeat the process, they’ll continue to level up – and you and your new partner will also help their enrolees level up to Director and beyond. “Never lose sight of developing Directors,” Jeff says. “That is the only way to grow your business. If you get really good at getting a new enroler to Director, you can help some of them move to Director 3 and your business will grow forever.” LH
8
TIME TO TAKE ACTION Now your new business partner knows what to do. They may be ready to do their three tasks right away with you next to them after the Overview. Or maybe they’ll need to work on them independently. Just offer your support and get excited for every step they complete.
