Christy’s Story Christy Carr Director 9 Pennsylvania, USA
Enrolled November 2020 Standing up for her personal beliefs had a big financial impact on Christy Carr and her family. But thanks to Melaleuca, she was able to be true to herself and forge a new future with her family. “I worked as a nurse for 25 years,” Christy says. “For the last 15 years of my nursing career I worked as a pediatric home care nurse. Then my employer gave me a mandate that I did not feel comfortable following. Because of my stance, I had to walk away from clients whom I had taken care of for those 15 years. “I was a Melaleuca customer at the time. I always shared how much I loved the products on social media. I didn’t know it was possible to earn money doing that; I just believed in the products so much. I have always just enjoyed helping people. It was only later that my enroler told me about the Compensation Plan. “My husband is a real estate agent, and his income has gone down 40% in the current economy. My Melaleuca check saved us. It paid a car payment one month, then took care of a mortgage payment the next.
My checks aren’t huge, but they’ve been enough for me to pay for things, so my family didn’t have to worry about them. Without my repeat income, we would have no money coming in some months. We have some real estate investments, but they aren’t liquid, so we would have been late on our mortgage and our car payment. We would have struggled to put food on the table. If I went back to nursing, I would have to work 80 hours a week away from my home and family to make what I am now making with Melaleuca. “I thank God for Melaleuca. It just brings good things to us. It’s about more than the money. It’s being able to pay our bills when we need to. My 19-year-old son, Maxwell, is heading to college. My 16-year-old daughter, Marley, is in braces. I’ve always cared about helping people, and I feel now that I’m making a difference in people’s lives by helping them take control of their health preventively to stay healthy. “I recently had to take a month off to recover from a surgery. I had to step back from the things I normally did to build my business. But thanks to my repeat income,
I was able to take that time off to heal. In many other businesses, I would be fired for not coming into work for a month! Or I would take sick leave and not have money coming in. When I received my check after that month, I cried. I am just so grateful for what Melaleuca provides for my family.” Christy’s Melaleuca income has helped her weather the upsets in the economy and still stay on track financially, paying for braces, helping prepare her son for college, and keeping food on the table. And Christy was able to enjoy the added bonus of earning meaningful income while being at home with her family.
Lindsey’s Story Lindsey Short Director 7 Indiana, USA Enrolled December 2019 Having several hundred dollars from Melaleuca come in every month has always been nice for Lindsey and her husband, Jason. But it became a lifeline she was glad to have established early on when life threw her not one but two curveballs. “I first enrolled in December 2019 and hit the ground running,” Lindsey says. “I advanced to Director 3 pretty quickly, and then life hit us hard. I became pregnant and had a difficult pregnancy. Cruz was born about four-and-a-half months early with severe medical complications. I spent seven months in the NICU with my son. The children’s hospital he was in was three hours away from my home. I disconnected from everything else and just focused on
my family during that time. Because of the small shopping business I had built with Melaleuca, I received paychecks that ranged from $400 to $700 every month from just maintaining what I had built before. That helped us maintain two households for seven months and afford travel, food, gas, and our regular bills. “After Cruz came home and got settled, I was able to jump back into building my Melaleuca business and focus on paying off the debt we had incurred while he was in the hospital. Then this last November, six weeks before Christmas, Jason lost his job and six-figure salary. I started crying when he told me, but I took a breath and ran the numbers of what we needed and how much I had been earning from Melaleuca. I knew I could cover our expenses while he looked for new work. I can’t tell you the weight that took off my shoulders. We were still able to create a wonderful Christmas for our kids without a lot of stress. I cried that one time, but that was it. “I don’t even want to think about where we would be without Melaleuca. We still haven’t received an unemployment check for Jason yet. I could go out and get a job in the corporate world, but there’s always a financial cap. Because of Cruz’s complex medical needs, only one of us can work outside of the home.
First Melaleuca check: $100 Average monthly Melaleuca repeat income: $1,086 Lindsey’s story was made possible by just a few of those $7 billion that came from sharing our amazing wellness products. Her monthly commission checks gave her precious moments with her baby. And they gave her the ability to focus on family when nothing else mattered. Melaleuca is always looking for ways to enhance the lives of their customers and Marketing Executives. They stay true to that on every level, and that shows great integrity as a company. It makes me proud to be partnered with Melaleuca.” “I’ve been able to scale my Melaleuca business based on what my family needs. I got my business to where it was by building on a part-time schedule. Now I am spending more time on my business since Jason is taking care of our children. Melaleuca has been an amazing solution throughout these upsets. I found Melaleuca at just the right time. I know I’m in the right place. From the products to the Compensation Plan,
First Melaleuca check: $197 Average monthly Melaleuca repeat income: $1,955
