We all know how important pets can be in our lives. At Believe Housing Australia we do all we can to enable you to have your pet at home with you. The following steps are a reminder of the things you’ll need to know if you want to keep a pet in your home. Pets in community housing

1. Ask us first: Notify us and seek permission first before bringing pets into your home. 2. Approval: If your application is approved, your pet/s will be listed on a Pet Permission form and you’ll be asked to sign it. 3. Which pets? Your ability to keep pets at home will depend on the suitability of the property, location, and local council rules and regulations. 4. T hings to consider: You must get approval from us before making any changes to the property for your pet/s which may be at a cost to you. We, and the local council, expect you to be a responsible pet owner— desexing, microchipping, looking after, and keeping your pet/s under control. Please reach out to your Tenancy Officer for more information, or call 1800 688 000 .

“With groups like this and events, you get to know more people in the area, you can stop and talk. A lot of people have anxieties and life issues, you need to get out and make friends. It’s all about community. I’m not lonely anymore. I was pretty much housebound—when people stick to their houses it leads to depression and mental health issues” —Believe Housing Australia tenant Has Believe Housing Australia made a positive impact on your life?
