It’s the most wonderful time of the year! As we reflect on the holiday season, we’re excited to share the moments from our recent Christmas celebrations, hosted by the Tenant Voice team. Whether you’re from the bustling metro areas or cosy regions, these events were all about our shared experiences and the spirit of togetherness. Local business also played a crucial role, generously supporting the events and donating their time. From catering to entertainment, their contributions helped create an atmosphere that was memorable for all who attended. Tenants were able to connect with each other, forge new friendships, and strengthen the sense of belonging within the community.
2023 Gardeners of the Year
Congratulations to the winners of the Garden Competition in Regional SA. The annual Garden Competition is held in recognition of local gardeners to encourage community interest in gardens, and to enhance the presentation and liveability of our communities, with particular focus on tenants’ health and wellbeing. The competition is an opportunity for Believe Housing Australia tenants to showcase their gardens and have their passion and enthusiasm recognised. In Mount Gambier, Kathryn emerged as the winner for her well-organised garden featuring various ornaments and a neatly manicured grass strip.
In the Riverland, Dwayne clinched the victory with his fantastic garden. Dwayne has worked hard to create cool spots in the midst of the Riverland heat. He has a special fondness for roses and his garden is both refreshing and well-kept. Meanwhile, in Karoonda, David’s garden was recognised as the most improved. When he first started the property was just a dirt block. Through David’s persistent efforts the garden now looks wonderful, even in the dry conditions of the Mallee. David has creatively used old ornaments, wheelbarrows, rocks, and sleepers, to enhance the beauty of his space. A big thank you to all who entered the competition! It revealed some amazing green thumb talent among our tenants.
Community ovals and parks were filled with laughter and fun! Our Christmas celebrations weren’t just events; they were our way of fostering positive relationships and communications between staff and tenants. These events align with our mission to build a Believe Housing Australia community where residents feel valued, heard, and truly connected.
