fresh mindset
fresh mindset [Don’t] define yourself by the hard moments and the hard experiences in parenthood, because it’s inherently difficult to raise a child… It won’t feel blissful and joyful and gratifying all the time, and that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

Elizabeth Wellington worked for over a decade with families, couples, and young adults as a psychotherapist before beginning her fertility and pregnancy journey five years ago. Through her experience, she became interested in perinatal mental health, specifically the emotional and psychological changes women go through when they become pregnant. She says she has found her calling in supporting women through their pregnancy journeys. As an extension of her passion for supporting mothers’ mental health, she co-founded Moms Feelin’ Themselves, a community-oriented dance party experience for moms. You can catch their next event on August 22 at the Bluebird Theater in Denver! Learn more at momsfeelinthemselves.com. Elizabeth is a mother to four-year-old Jack, and 15-month-old Samara. As a family, the Wellingtons love to get out in Colorado’s nature for hikes and outdoor activities. Both Elizabeth and her husband love to read and are big on encouraging their children to develop an intellectual curiosity. Elizabeth’s philosophy on parenting is to simply enjoy the world with her kids rather than trying to entertain them every moment of the day. For her, motherhood is less about control and more about connection and support.
