Greenhouse and Plant Growth Chamber Facilities

The Plant Growth Core Laboratory manages a climate-controlled Greenhouse and Growth Chamber facilities to support plant science research at KAUST. Ex- perienced staff specialized in plant growth and development (including irrigation, nutrient, and pest/disease management) are available to advise and support researches in growing healthy and disease-free plants for their experiments. This course advises and assists researchers in conducting their experiments. It covers topics such as Greenhouse and Growth Chamber facility SOPs, safety, and the handling of transgenic and weed species. Users will learn about en- vironmental control variables and available equipment types, get familiar with resources (soil, trays, pots etc.), practice soil preparation and the filling of pots, and be trained on proper planting and irrigation procedures. PARTICIPANT PROFILE This course is intended for students and research professionals from KAUST who want to use the greenhouse and plant growth chamber facilities.
