The KAUST Supercomputing Core Laboratory (KSL) has co-organized an an- nual workshop on Accelerating Scientific Applications using GPUs with NVIDIA. The workshop provides an opportunity to learn about the latest hardware and software advances by NVIDIA for Scientific Computing and Artificial Intelligence as well as showcasing the related KAUST success stories using GPUs. The event is typically held in conjunction with tutorials and a 2-day hackathon event where teams of developers will be selected to port and accelerate their domain science applications to GPU accelerators. These teams are guided by OpenACC and CUDA mentors from NVIDIA and KAUST. PARTICIPANT PROFILE The workshop is open to participants at all levels who are interested in GPU ac- celerators as a computing processor for scientific computing or Machine Learn- ing/Deep Learning workloads. A minimum understanding of computer architec- ture and programming is required. PREREQUISITES MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS 40 DURATION 3-5 days FREQUENCY Yearly
