SolidWorks – Sheet Metal MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERING
This workshop introduces the basic concepts and techniques of sheet metal modeling. The training course follows the typical stages involved in using the SolidWorks interface to create and edit sheet metal parts, generate flat patterns, and document the designs in drawings. Topics covered include: sheet metal basic concept and theory; SolidWorks sheet-metal interface; sheet metal cuts; working with sheet metal assemblies; 2D drawings and flat patterns; and materi- al optimization. PARTICIPANT PROFILE This seminar is for students, researchers, scientists, and engineers who want to use the SolidWorks Program for designing components and assemblies manufactured from sheet metal. Competency with the SolidWorks program is required.
