Evaporation Solvent Extraction under a Stream of Nitrogen ORGANICS
The Turbovap is used to focus and concentrate analytes of interest in a solvent via evaporation under a stream of nitrogen. This course introduces the opera- tional skills and parameter selections of the Turbovap. Following this course, the user is expected to be able to independently operate the instrument.
This instrument owns the highest mass resolution and accuracy among all other mass spectrometers in our lab. It is especially useful where ultrahigh mass resolution is needed, such as petroleum and dissolved organic matters with complex matrices, as well as isotope labeled organic molecules. This instrument is currently reserved for method development for complex mixtures and not open for user training.
