Gravimetric Gas Sorption Analysis Under Extreme Conditions SOLIDS

The IsoSORP is an advanced gravimetric analyzer that can measure sorption data of a variety of gases and binary gas mixtures. It operates from vacuum up to pressures as high as 150 bar, in a range of temperatures from RT to 150 °C. This course introduces the fundamental background theory and technique, including a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the methods and general guidance for their applications. It trains users on sample preparation, instrument operation and software usage, gathering the data using a single gas, gas mixtures, or vapors of interest to users. Following this course, the user is expected to be able to independently operate the instrument and perform basic data analysis. PARTICIPANT PROFILE This course is intended for students and research professionals from KAUST, and their collaborators from academia and industry. It is open to advanced users only, extensive experience on gas adsorption techniques is required. PREREQUISITES • Active Badger account
