2022 Commencement
Dear Graduates,
You made it! Congratulations on this monumental achievement, which will serve you well throughout your lives. Earning a degree from Central Washington University is just the first step toward building a successful career, and the expert training you received during your time here will continue to pay dividends for decades to come. I am so proud to be associated with the Class of 2022, the first graduating class I have had the honor of sending out into the world since arriving at CWU. One thing I have learned in my short time here is that our students are well-rounded, well-meaning, and well-prepared to make a positive impact, no matter which direction they choose to go. CWU takes great pride in training the leaders of tomorrow, and it gives me tremendous satisfaction to know that we are sending some of the brightest young minds in Washington out into the world to make a difference. As graduates of this fine institution, you should feel this same sense of pride in highlighting all that you have accomplished. This really is a BIG deal! You are now a member of an elite club of Central alumni, who share a bond that goes far beyond the communities we serve. CWU boasts an extensive network of graduates from all walks of life, and you will soon discover that the old saying is true: “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.” I am so proud to congratulate all of you on taking the next step in your professional lives, and I can’t wait to share your future accomplishments with the next generation of Wildcats.
