Reginald Rigsby (Xi 1977), Bernard Gatewood (Xi 1980), Greg Works (Xi 1984), Trey Houston (Xi 1998), Grand Board of Directors Member Robert Jenkins (Xi 1992), Chris New- some (Xi 2007), Darrelle Washington (Xi 2009), Kyle Nichols (Xi 2014), and Joshua Bell-Bey (Xi 2019) . The Xi Chapter Preservation Foundation – a 501(c) (3) established by Robert Cooper (Xi 1982) , to assist charitable initiatives of the active chapter, to create scholarship opportunities, as well as to facilitate a productive alumni network supported the committee’s activities. The committee also encouraged using

“line liaisons” to represent each Xi line, which ensured broad generational feed- back to the Steering Committee plans. The Steering Committee originally developed four 2020 Centennial events, including a spring social fundraiser, a HU Homecoming reception with a Kappa Campus Marker groundbreak- ing, an early December 2020 Charter Day Gala, and an official December 27 th Charter Day Brunch. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Steering Committee decided to cancel the spring social fundraiser and Homecoming events, postpone the Charter Day Gala until September of 2021, and convert

the official December 27 th Charter Day Brunch to a Virtual History Ceremony featuring historical readings, genera- tional reflections and a small ground- breaking ceremony for the new Kappa Campus Marker adhering to COVID restrictions.
