Horton-Tucker: I feel like you have to focus and dedicate yourself to what you want to do. When you put your mind to it, it’s going to seem hard at times, but I feel like you can always achieve and do better for yourself. It goes as far as you want it to go; if you put your mind to it, you can conquer anything.
The Journal: Any particular mentors you would want to shout out?
Horton-Tucker: I appreciate my mom, just being there for me always. The people who have always been in my corner have helped me in throughout my process, but most importantly, my mom kept me her first priority. The Journal: We appreciate your time good brother. The entire fraternity is exceedingly proud of your achievement and look forward to watching your career unfold. Brother Horton-Tucker is being charac- terized as a “preseason sensation” and a potential “minutes stealer” during the regular season for his 33 points and 10 rebounds secured as of the publishing of this issue. Brother Horton-Tucker says being able to start for the Lakers “was a blessing and a great opportunity.” Having just turned 20 on November 25, 2020, suggests there are many years ahead for this incredible player.
