Foundation President Michael J. Dubose Appointed to Florida A&M University Board of Trustees
F lorida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently appointed two alumni to the Florida A&M University Board of Trustees, one of them being 104 th Elder Watson Diggs Awardee Michael J. Dubose. “Florida A&M University is fortunate to have these two talented, hardworking, and visionary alumni join our Board of Trustees. They bring a wealth of experi- ence and the tools to assist the univer- sity as we navigate current challenges and forge a prosperous future,” FAMU President Larry Robinson said. Dubose, who lives in Alpharetta, Georgia, is president of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Dubose is in charge of one of the most important divisions at Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world’s leading science service company with an an- nual revenue of $24 billion and around 70,000 employees. As president of the healthcare market channel, he is respon- sible for ensuring that Thermo Fisher is able to continue providing world-class medical testing and scientific supplies to its customers. In August 2019, Dubose was named to the board of directors of the Health Industry Distributors As- sociation (HIDA), a national trade group representing medical product distribu- tors. When he accepted the appoint- ment, he stated that, “sharing experi- ence with the association and bringing together distribution leaders with varied perspectives is the best way to move the industry forward.” Prior to his current role, Dubose worked at business sup- ply company W.W. Grainger, Staples, Staples, Alliant Foodservice and Baxter Healthcare. He is the current president of the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, Inc., where he administers a $10 million scholarship fund. He earned degrees in business and music in 1979.

Watts Water Technologies Elects Dubose to Its Board of Directors
W atts Water Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: WTS) today announced the election of Michael J. Dubose as a member of the Board of Directors. Brother Dubose was also appointed by the Board to serve as a member the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors. He has served as President of the Fisher Healthcare Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. since March 2019. Thermo Fisher Scientific engages in the provision of analytical instruments, equipment, reagents and consumables, software and services for research, analy- sis, discovery, and diagnostics. Brother Dubose previously served as Vice Presi- dent of National Accounts and Cross Border Business Globally for W.W. Grainger, Inc. from 2010 to March 2019. W.W. Grainger is a leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, with opera- tions primarily in North America, Japan and Europe. Prior to this position, he served as a Regional Vice President of
Staples, Inc. from 2008 to 2010. Prior to 2008, Brother Dubose held senior management positions with Corporate Express Inc., Alliant Foodservice Inc. and Baxter International Inc. “Mike brings to Watts a wealth of ex- perience with respect to the healthcare marketplace, which is a significant target market for Watts, and commercial sup- ply distribution,” said W.
