McDowell Label , based in Texas, received the “Best in Show” distinction for its labels on containers for Cellucor’s special 10th anniversary limited edition of C4 Dynasty pre-workout energy supplement. McDow- ell also won in the Heat-shrink TD Sleeve category. With a complex, highly-recognizable brand design and production excellence, the sleeve featured no fewer than 10 colors, combination coatings, crisp-dot screen work, and two types of advanced holographic foiling. Earning the sleeve label award for an Environmental Contribution to Sustainable Packaging was Sleever International . The company was recognized for its LDPET food-grade sleeve films, which are labeling PET-bottled San Pellegrino Essenza waters. The judges also awarded two Certificates of Merit in the Heat-shrink TD Sleeve category. Masterpress of Poland earned a certificate for hybrid-printed luxuri- ous Formula One racing “Grand Prix Limited Edition” bottle labels on Stock Prestige Vodka, which, appropri- ately featured a top-to-bottom soft-touch rubber-tire surface effect. Label King given the company’s extensive work in the area of liner recycling. The winner of the 2020 Journey Award was Grand Rapids Label . The Awards Committee noted that Grand Rapids has numerous metrics in place to demon- strate the company’s positive environmental impact in addition to an extensive recycling program in the plant. Grand Rapids is more than 80 percent landfill-free and measures all company impacts through ISO 14001 cer- tification. The winner of the 2020 Elevation Award was Hub Label .The judges recognized that Hub Label was one of the first TLMI members to become Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) certified and that the company recycles and diverts all of its waste from landfill.Hub is also currently working with partners to secure renewable energy and to assist their suppliers with their own sustainability goals.
