Pensions in payroll – all the basics Andy Nicholls FCIPP, Automatic Enrolment Pensions and Payroll Consultant and Trainer, IPP Consultant, gave an overview of the basics of payroll for payroll professionals to be aware of. This included coverage of the main types of pension schemes, payroll set up, tax relief methods, contribution calculations and the pension processing cycle. n

The session discussed how ACT can empower payroll professionals to stay ahead of the continuous industry changes we see. Neonatal care leave and pay Fiona Smith MCIPPdip, Payroll Training Manager, IPP Education, discussed the new statutory entitlement to neonatal care leave and pay from the start of the new tax year, with the aim of ensuring your payroll team has the knowledge required to get it right first time.
