hearts are pure. Only Jesus can forgive our sins, and make our hearts pure. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” A heavenly home is being prepared for every boy and girl, every man and woman in the whole world, who belongs to the Lord Jesus, When we take the Lord Jesus as our Saviour, we become children of God, and when Jesus comes back to take all who belong to Him to heaven, we shall be like Him. O, boys and girls just think what that means, to be like Jesus! We will be perfect in every way. A perfect body that can never be tired, or sick, or hurt. You will never have to go to sleep, for there is no night there.' A perfect body cah not get tired. Our hearts will TNASMUCH as the lessons of this quar- ter do not follow any chronological order, it is difficult to present a connected review- important factors of the Christian life have been under consideration, and the teacher can work out a profitable study by assembling from each lesson thè verses which, to his mind, set forth the leading lesson of the passage. A review of thè various Golden Texts will also he profitable. Assign to members of the class the telling of stories illustrat ing these texts. These may be gathered from our “Golden Text Illustration” De partment, or perhaps' the pupil himself may be able to furnish a Suitable story. Dr. R. A. Torrey suggests the assign ing by the teacher of a question or two on each lesson, having written a n s w e r s brought to the class for discussion. In view of the vital teachings taken up during the quarter, an- excellent oppor tunity is afforded to press for decisions for Christ. Point out that no one can possibly live the Christian life apart from Christ Himself, which necessitates the ac ceptance by faith of His redemptive work, including His resurrection. The writer suggests that in classes- where there are unsaved pupils, a thor ough study of salvation be taken up. Even in classes where all have professed to ac cept Christ, such a study may be made most profitable. To assist the teacher in the preparation of such a message, we commend the fol lowing outline, in which Rev. R. S. Beal sets forth Christ’s own teachings concern ing salvation. Following this, we present a study on the same subject prepared for those of junior age, by Mrs. Orah G. Brooks. —o— W hat C hrist T aught C oncerning H is S alvation Introduction : The Word teaches that the Lord Jesus is the Author of eternal salvation. be pure and clean. There will be no sin of any kind there, for if all the people living in that heavenly home are like Jesus, you see it will be absolutely impos sible for anything that is wrong to get into heaven. Not even a .bad, naughty thought, for our minds will .be pure. Satan can never enter heaven, and he- is the father of all sin. Now we see, if we belong to Jesus, we do not need to be afraid of even death, for when the breath leaves our bodies* and the heart stops beating, we just go to sleep down here on earth, and we wake up in heaven. We just step out of our bed right into heaven, into the blessed arms of our loving Lord Jesus. (Teach M. V.). Prayer. 2. G olden T ext I llustration If ye love me, keep my commandments —John 14:15. In far away China, a young father brought his baby son to the missionary to be christened and dedicated to the Lord. He asked that the name “Moo Dee” be given the child. The missionary had never heard a Chinese name like that, and questioned the father about its orig in. “I have heard of great man who love JesU's; and obey His words,” he replied. “Missionary call him Moody. In our lan guage ‘Moo’ mean's ‘love’ and ‘dee’ means ‘God.’ Want my child, too, love God and keep His commandments.” No one can truly love the Lord Jesus and not have regard for the things He asks; him to do. God grant that- we may all so “Moo-Dee” that all may see by our daily lives that we are indeed His fol lowers. How A B oy or G irl C an B e S aved By Orah G. Brooks rT‘HE Bible, which is God’s Love-letter to all the human beings which He has created,'is written to tell us three of the most important truths in the world. First, All have been RUINED BY SIN. Second, All can be REDEEMED (set free) THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Third, All who would reach heaven must RECEIVE HIM BY FAITH. Let us. look briefly at these truths. We read in Isaiah 53 ;6 that “ALL we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned EVERYONE to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity (sin) of us ALL.” , Romans 3 :23 says “ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” If we honestly look at our own lives, we know that it is true that sin fills our lives. God is holy and. He hates sin, therefore sin must be punished. Sup pose you committed only one sin a day, that would be 365 a year and in 50 years that would make 18,250. But often we sin many times a day. Suppose it was only two sins a day for 50 years; that would make 36,500 sins to Be punished for. Who of us has not committed many more than that? Our lives would be too short to be punished for every sin that God sees in our lives, therefore God says that unless we accept the remedy which He has provided for us, we cannot enter heaven. John 3:36 says: “He that be lieveth not the Son (Jesus) shall, not see life;; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Once there was a blacksmith who boasted that the iron chains which he made could never be broken. This man committed a crime and was put in a dun geon with a chain about his foot. As he was looking over the chain to see if he could find a link with a flaw in it so that he could break it and escape, he found that it was one of the chains which he himself had made, so he realized he could not get away. Proverbs 5 :22 tells us that men will be held with the chains of their own sins. How can we escape ? Here is God’s answer. John 3 :16 says: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM should not per ish but have everlasting life.” John 1:29
