Yuriy Mikhaylov joined BASE as a structural designer in 2010. Before this, Mikhaylov was a research assistant at the University of Hawaii studying the per- formance of multi-story reinforced concrete buildings in various seismic zones and under tsunami loads. His first major project was the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC), which is a state-of-the-art hospital designed for extreme seismic and typhoon loadings to meet essential facility post-disaster requirements.
