sell and may be the best heifer bull in the offering. A great rule of thumb for identifying a herd bull is multiplying birth weight by 10 to estimate weaning weight—247M was born at 71 lbs and weaned at an impressive 708 lbs. While he carries a lower GM index, he still scanned a strong 14-inch REA. Remember we can’t eat an index or grill a number.

131M is a heifer bull we used this summer on a group of commercial heifers, where he fit the program exceptionally well. His young dam ranks among the very best in her contemporary group and is a daughter of Loosli Right On 423. Right On daughters have gone on to produce some of our top bulls, including Lot 1, RLC Cracker Jack 182M. The cow-making ability of Right On is truly outstanding, especially when crossed with performance-oriented bulls, and 131M is a strong example of that proven maternal strength combined with functionality.

103M was also used on a set of commercial heifers this summer. We purchased his dam Orton Fancy 224 from Orton Red angus. He did exceptionally well being he was born at just 69lbs and boasted an impressive 745 205 adj weaning weight! Use 103M on your heifers and cash all the grid premiums on his calves because he had a 5.22 IMF score!
