Welcome Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Boyle My very first academic role was as a young lecturer in the Department of Geography at Swansea University, and I can personally say that the quality of the education and nurturing environment here is hard to find elsewhere.

For all of these reasons and more, we were recently ranked sixth out of all universities in the UK for student satisfaction, on the basis of feedback from our own students .
