RANDY AND PATRICIA CRAY SCHOLARSHIP FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT Randy Cray is the emeritus chief economist at the Central Wisconsin Economic Research Bureau at UWSP. He served as chair of the School of Business and Economics from 1995-2001. He also is an emeritus professor of economics and taught in the areas of monetary economics and finance. Cray has been recognized numerous times at UWSP for his research and community/university service. He is published in a number of scholarly journals and over 200 Quarterly Economic Indicator reports for Marathon, Portage, and Wood counties. Cray is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and is regularly interviewed by regional newspapers, radio, and television stations on matters pertaining to the economy. Patricia Cray retired as a financial specialist at the UWSP Library in 2014. Currently she volunteers one afternoon each week at hospice doing office work. Also, she enjoys volunteering most mornings at the local food pantry (Operations Bootstrap) warehouse. Further, she volunteers three afternoons a week in Bootstrap’s pantry and office. She is also extensively involved with the Holy Spirit Parish library and book nook. Helping others is very rewarding to her.
