B reakout Games Milwaukee offers an immersive escape room experience where teams solve puzzles, decipher codes and uncover clues to escape and win. It is the perfect activity for a variety of groups, including families and corporate teams — it can also serve as a unique outing with friends.

The 4125 N 124th Street facility serves the greater Milwaukee area and is home to six unique, themed escape rooms. Each room is designed to create an immersive experience, so players feel like they’ve stepped directly into a story. Themes range from a mysterious old mansion to a casino. Just last year, Breakout Games built and opened their new Kidnapping 2: Afraid of the Dark room. Breakout Games Milwaukee has 15 to 20 employees who work as gamemasters. Gamemasters run games, give clues to players, celebrate wins, offer encouragement, create lasting memories and reset rooms for the next

group of players. The goal is to encourage teams to engage in the four Cs: communication, collaboration, critical thinking and camaraderie. Each group is placed in a private room, and once they’ve escaped, receive custom post-game debriefing materials and group photos. The company has had success working with St. John Properties to customize their space and troubleshoot any hiccups. “We’ve had some plumbing and electrical issues in the past, and St. John Properties [has] always met our needs quickly and efficiently. C elebrations Event & Rental is a family-owned business that brings events to life. Whether it’s a baby shower, holiday event, or birthday party, the company hosts each event and handles all of the little details, so clients can enjoy their celebration, worry free.

“We actually started in our garage, our home garage, and then we started having more inventory, so we had to rent a warehouse,” said Heisy Garcia, co-owner of Celebrations Event & Rental. Having a dedicated space at company’s biggest accomplishments. They can now offer venue space to their clients, which saves those clients the headache of trying to locate a space themselves. Melford Town Center in Bowie, Maryland, has been one of the Celebrations Event & Rental’s flex suite features an office area where they conduct in-person consultations. Garcia said when clients visit, they are now able to set up displays featuring their rental items, including banquet tables and props, and show clients how their décor could look. The building also has a designated, private bridal suite that they can use during their event. “The space has been very helpful to showcase what our business does.” Celebrations Event & Rental is truly a family business. Garcia owns the company with her husband, and they’re

joined by her parents, sister and aunt. Garcia works on the admin side while her husband takes care of the inventory, making sure that all of the rental items are ready each weekend. Garcia’s mom also helps her with food preparation. The holidays, in particular, are a hectic time of the year, but the Garcias love bringing events to life. Working with St. John Properties was instrumental in finding and utilizing the perfect space. Garcia said that she saw the space about a year before they signed a lease, and they were apprehensive to take the leap, especially as a small business. But, after meeting with leasing representative Mike White from St. John Properties, Garcia knew that this was the space for them. “There were just a few changes that needed to be made in order to achieve what we needed,” Garcia explained. “So the space worked out really well.” St. John Properties helped with the entire transition, including permitting, so that Garcia didn’t have to worry about the intricate details that go into relocating as a new business. The in-house

interior design team even helped Garcia with the layout by offering recommendations on the best ways to utilize the space. One of the biggest factors in choosing this particular space came down to how St. John Properties maintained the property. Not every building Garcia toured was as well taken care of. Melford Town Center was clean, offered sufficient parking, and open landscaped areas, and these all factored into their decision. “When I met with [Mike White] he was very helpful, and as soon as I saw the layout that he sent me, I knew that was the space.” –Heisy Garcia, Owner, Celebrations Event & Rental

F ourth Dimension Fun Center (4D) is a full-service entertainment center, housing 16 bowling lanes, a full sit-down restaurant and bar, laser tag, escape rooms, an interactive motion simulation theater, and an arcade with nearly 100 games. They occupy an entire building within Arcadia Business Park in Frederick, Maryland. “Fourth Dimension was built to [be] a place the whole family can enjoy, from the kids through grandparents, there is certain to be something [everyone] will enjoy,” said Brian Holzberger, Fourth Dimension Fun.

Sports fans can catch a game on one of the restaurant’s 20 TVs while sipping on one of the 32 beers on tap. Or the family can “race” on racing simulators in the arcade that run on iRacing – the same software that NASCAR professionals use to practice at home. In addition to its many attractions, 4D’s space also includes a full-service kitchen, three party rooms, a spacious ticket redemption room, and a storage area. The facility employs nearly 100 people and includes managers, amusement attendants, front desk staff, cooks, game technicians, dishwashers, bartenders and servers.

The company also gives back to the community: every year, they work with Toys for Tots to host events. 4D Fun Center also advertises on the radio through their connection with WFRE-FM, where they give away a free arcade play card for every toy donation. St. John Properties was able to help solve some big challenges the center faced in the buildout process. “We [needed] a lot of work to make the space accommodating to allow us to fit the bowling lanes. This meant hiring structural engineers and having the roof structure redesigned for that end of the building so that there is only one column

row instead of two. We also added a large air gap entrance to define our main entrance from the rest of the building,” stated Holzberger. St. John Properties also helped Fourth Dimension Fun place signage on Buckeystown Pike to advertise.
