Jazzercise got its start in the 1960s, thanks to Judi Sheppard Missett, a fitness enthusiast and dance teacher. She realized that traditional dance classes were not engaging for everyone, so she (literally) jazzed things up with upbeat music and fun moves, creating Jazzercise.

Today, Jazzercise has expanded to include a variety of class formats from cardio-kickboxing to low-impact classes, all of which can be found in a Jazzercise studio or on demand.

Be Your Own Jazzercise Instructor With a playlist of today’s hottest hits, some room to move and an energized attitude, you can lead your own Jazzercise workout. For the full effect, don’t forget the microphone!
