announced a new collaboration with Morris & Co for a collection of homeware and furniture inspired by the iconic William Morris patterns. But we also expect to see more of these prints in fabrics and wallpapers, as well as where they inspire design detailing such as turned wood table legs, floor lamps or plant pot holders.
#9 – QUIET LUXURY
This trend is all about exuding an appearance of luxury without being a show off! It’s all about good-quality, timeless pieces that can have many lives or evolve through reupholstery or upcycling. It’s something of an antithesis to mass- produced fast furniture. Quiet Luxury celebrates subtlety, restraint and has an understated elegance. Try laying luxurious, soft fabrics against warmer toned woods and classic patterned fabrics. #10 – RECLAIMED SPACES & PET-FRIENDLY FURNITURE I’ve long advocated for making use of every available space in the home, highlighting how transitional or under-used places can be repurposed. So I’m pleased that for 2025, this will become more mainstream. An example is using space under the stairs. In larger homes, I’ve seen this made into a standalone utility including the washing machine/tumble dryer, meaning the traditional utility can double as a boot room or pantry. In smaller homes where the extra living space is needed, this space can be used for smart storage with sliding drawers or as a home for pets. Speaking of four-legged family members, pet-friendly furniture is something to consider in 2025 – kitchen cabinetry is now being designed with integrated places for pooches!
