It is our pleasure to welcome you to our 48th Annual Production Sale. To our existing customers-thank you for your business! If you’re considering us for the first time, we appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust and business. My sons are always telling me the thing I’m best at is “ancient history,” so bear with me as I travel back in time 48 years. I had just returned home from the National Western Stock Show, and a neighbor stopped to visit and look at the bulls. By the time he left, he bought three bulls, all from our Denver pen, and the total paid for the three was less than a lot of sales averaged. I bring this up because this neighbor was the 2025 North American Limousin Foundation Commercial Producer of the Year, and we’re even prouder of the fact they’ve bought bulls here for 48 years! Thank you, Roger and Carol! We hope we can continue this lifetime journey of doing business together. Of all the buzz words that float around, the one we value the most is “longevity”—whether it is a donor cow, a tractor, or a customer, longevity matters. If we take care of these things, they take care of us. Cattle can be weighed, scanned, blood tested, etc., but it all boils down to the people that stand behind them. Thank you for allowing us to supply your seedstock needs for nearly 50 years! My Dad always remarked that South Dakota cattle are forged in the heat of summer and tested in the cold of winter, so we’re confident the weak links have been taken out. This catalog has pedigrees, weights, genomics, scan data and more. If you need anything, please let us know and we will give it our best to get the information to you. We’ve worked a lifetime developing a herd of cows that work for us—not us for them. We don’t single-trait select. We breed for balance across all traits. We select for cows that are manageable with the goal of them putting a bull in the sale, or heifer in the replacement pen every year. We make delivery swings to central locations in South Dakota and surrounding states and will work with you to get your purchases to you as economically as possible. We offer a $50 per head discount for cattle picked up sale day. Volume discounts start with a 5% discount on five to nine head and 10% discount on 10 head or more. Evaluation Preformance Data BW Birth Weight Weight of calf at birth. All births are given a score, A-E, based upon how the calf was delivered
A - Unassisted B - Some Help C - Mechanical Pull D - Caesarean E - Abnormal Presentation WW Weaning Weight
This is the weaning weight of the cattle adjusted to 205 days of age. Weaning weight is a good indication of early growth of a calf and milking ability of the dam. YW Yearling Weight This is the yearling weight of the animal adjusted to 365 days of age with at least 150 days between the actual weaning weight and the time of recording the actual yearling weight. WDA Weight Per Day of Age WDA gives you a look into growth potential. This is an important tool for you to use in your selection process because rate of growth is heritable. WDA can also reflect how hard the animal has been fed. SC Scrotal Measurement Measured in centimeters by Doctor Erik Holum. Scrotal measurements are actual not adjusted. • Scan data on yearling bulls is adjusted to 365 days. • EPDs were taken from NALF on March 5, 2026 • Lots 1-26 are genomically enhanced with GE-EPDs, Lots 27-66 are pending.

This is the first group of Data Bank calves we’ve had and they have not disappointed! This double Homo bull does a lot of things well. He ranks in the top 30% or better for 10 traits, was big at weaning and yearling time, is long and big topped, and ratioed at 112 for IMF. We were supposed to picture this bull but our photographer is bad a math.
A solid Homo Polled Heartland son out of an up and coming 3 year old L7 Haymaker daughter. He is a thick made bull with the length of body that will add pounds to a calf crop. Small at birth and over 1300 at yearling time.

There has been a lot of buzz about the L7 Koko sons and it’s easy to see why. A real power bull that was smaller at birth, over 1400 at yearling and is Homo Polled. His mother is a direct daughter of the legendary Miss L7 110Y whom is still roaming the ranch.
