AN ANONYMOUS LETTER One of God’s great servants was Dwight L. Moody. Often he was heck led and ridiculed. One day, while conducting a certain campaign, a pen ciled note was handed him on the platform. Someone in the audience, who had nothing but contempt for the Word of God, thought he would trick the Lords spokesman. Mr. Moody thought it was a special announcement. Quieting the large audience, he un folded the paper. He was rather shocked to find that there was but one single word on the paper• the word, “Fool!” He paused for a moment, but was not take back. As the people listened intently, he declared, “Friends, this is a most unusual situation. I have just been handed a message which con sists of but one word. That word is “fool.” Now, I have heard of some people who write letters and who do not sign their names. This, however, is the first time I have ever known anyone to sign his name,, and has for gotten to write the letter.” “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” The devil and demons know about the truth of God. But they are not saved because they merely believe about God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet if the devil believes and trembles, how foolish that mere man should re ject the truth. “It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment.” How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? TRAVELING ON MY KNEE$ Last night I took a journey To a land across the seas; I didn't go by boat or plane, I traveled on my knees. I saw so many people there In deepest depths of sin, And Jesus told me I should go, That there were souls to. win. But I said, "Lord, I can't go And work with such as these." He answered quickly, "Yes you can By traveling on your knees."

He said, "Yo u pray, Til meet the need, You call and I will hear; Be anxious over all lost souls, Of those both far and near." And so I tried it, knelt in prayer, Gave up some hours of ease; I felt the Lord right by my side While traveling on my knees. As I prayed on I saw souls saved And twisted spirits healed, And saw God's workers' strength re newed While laboring on the field. I said, "Yes, Lord, I have a job, T is Thee I'd ever please; I'll gladly go and heed Thy call By traveling on my knees." * Shells may easily be found on the beach, but one must dive for the pearls. * * * Jesus Christ is no security against storms but He is a perfect security in them. * * * The mgn whowalks close to God leaves little room for the devil to come in between. — Sandra Goodwin * *
